Lodge Restoration and new community facility - Queens Park Bolton.

Objective; Conserve the gardener's Lodge building as part of the park restoration. Make the lodge versatile and able to accommodate the widest variety of users. Ensure interventions are clearly defined contemporary work of comparable quality.. Ensure that the work does not prevent future further restoration.. Provide versatile facilities, which are an asset to the park and the local community, maximizing the use and usefulness of the park.

Design; The principle areas of accommodation the large multi-purpose room and café are column free spaces adjacent to each other and the external courtyard, conceptually viewed as one space separated with only glass screens and opening glazed sliding doors.

Idea; To manipulate the landscape into an enclosure for the new extension, a construction form clothed in the landscape.
